When an earthquake happens, you need to find a effective way to survive it. But not all earthquakes are the same.

Earthquakes come in all forms .

There are physical earthquakes like the one that began in Virginia yesterday and was felt in Philadelphia up to Boston.

Then there are emotional earthquakes. These are the ones that happen to you personally. When emotional earthquakes happen to you, it might feel as if someone has punched the air out of you.  Or you mind find yourself light headed and in shock.

We hope you were shaken up by the Philadelphia earthquake.

5.8 Earthquake in Virginia. Felt in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and New York.
Did you feel it too? It kind of makes you think about your life.

A moment ago we were sitting in our 2nd floor office when we heard a low rumble. Thinking that it was a truck on Route 30 in Wayne, we ignored it. A moment later we felt our building undulate and move under our seats.

We were confused. Surprised. We looked each other and bolted out of our chairs and ran outside.

Get Rid of Stress Once and For All

Listening to people complain and report about the life around us can cause copious amounts of undue stress.

“The economy is in a shambles.”

“The stock market is tanking.”

“Our health care system is a mess.”

“Global warming will cause major floods and we’re all gonna drown.”

“There are terrorists waiting to bomb US planes.”

Many people have trouble sleeping after watching the news because of all the worries and negative thoughts floating through their minds.

You have many choices about what to do with these thoughts:

  • You can find a way to ignore them.
  • You can find a way to release them.
  • You can find a way to distract yourself from them.

A more elegant solution is to make sure that you keep yourself safe from excess stress and negative thoughts.

If you had a fear of ghosts, would you spend your free time watching reruns of “The Ghost Whisperer” or reading ghost stories? Of course not.

If you know that you often are anxious about the stock market and the economy, would you spend your free time reading books that predict economic collapse? Of course not.

If you are worried about global warming and the effects on our planet, would you travel to the artic to be one of the first to watch the icebergs melt? Of course not.

If the news you watch on TV gets to you, then it’s time to take the following drastic measure which is scientifically proven to reduce stress:

Stop watching the news on TV.

Stop it today. You might as well stop reading the paper and the news on the internet too.

Do it for 7 days. At the end of 7 days you will notice a huge difference in your outlook. You’ll be experiencing less stress and you’ll probably be sleeping better too.
